Volunteer with Good Shepherd

Amazing things happen here, because of our countless volunteers. We encourage you to find your niche with one of the opportunities below. Can’t find your fit? Email our Congregational Engagement Director, Linda Bartholome, to find more ways to give your time in service to our mission: Gather. Grow. GO!

RUBY’S PANTRY MONTHLY POP-UP PANTRY

THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH, 5:30–7:00 PM, SOUTH PARKING LOT

In partnership with Ruby’s Pantry, Good Shepherd is sponsoring a monthly pop-up food pantry.

What is Ruby’s Pantry? Ruby’s Pantry is for ANYONE that eats! There is no income requirement, and Ruby’s Pantry is for anyone looking to extend their monthly grocery budget.

Pre-register for your food box or just drive up. The cost is $25/person for two boxes of groceries (one box of dry goods, and one box of refridgerated/frozen items).

WE NEED YOU! There are many ways you can volunteer to help—unloading the food, sorting food and boxing it up in food bundles, loading cars and directing traffic, and preparing remaining food for pick-up from local food pantries.

BEFRIENDERS MINISTRY

MEETS MONTHLY

BeFrienders is a listening ministry of care. Members are trained to assist homebound members of our congregation—to listen, visit, send encouragement, and offer social interaction.

We need YOU for this important ministry! Click “Get Involved” on this page to get more information.

Worship Volunteer Opportunities

USHERS, GREETERS, & ALTAR CARE

WEDNESDAYS & SUNDAYS

It takes a team of people to make worship happen each week. People are needed to welcome visitors to our building, assist with seating and offering, and preparing Holy Communion. Whether you can come every week or just once in awhile—consider joining the team!
