Steve Sjoberg, Technical Director

Originally from Mora, Minnesota, I moved to Moorhead to attend Concordia College where I graduated with a Communications degree and minor in English and Religion with an emphasis in Church Professions. While at Concordia, I met my best friend and the love of my life, Lisa. We live still live in Moorhead and have two incredible daughters: Ingrid and Maggie.

I have worked in a variety of churches and roles throughout my career. I was a youth director at Christ the King in Moorhead, Worship Leader at Lutheran Church of the Cross in West Fargo, Communication and Technology Director at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo.

I have more than 15 years of experience with audio production, photography, video and event production.  Currently, I work at Border States as their Marketing Communications Supervisor where I am responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of strategic communications plans with a focus on internal departments and strategic priorities. I work with business stakeholders to customize marketing communication plans, focusing on target personas, value propositions, and business goals. I also assist the company with business continuity planning, public and media relations and brand research.

I am looking forward to leading the production team at Good Shepherd and taking the worship experience the next level by using audio, lighting, and video as professional tools so that all may know the Good Shepherd.

My favorite bible verse is Matthew 5:16. In His Sermon on the Mount, right after Jesus gives us the Beatitudes He addresses one of the biggest challenges we face as Christians- Hypocrisy.  Jesus knows that as disciples of Christ, it is our responsibility to live lives that are transformed by the Word so that Christ dwelling in us can be reflected in our act of kindness.
