Global Missions at Good Shepherd
The purpose of the Global Missions Committee at Good Shepherd is to serve as the focal point for Synod and ELCA global mission activities. Their job is to also inform and promote support for our missionaries within the congregation and build congregational awareness of our mission fields, their needs, and opportunities.

On behalf of the entire Global Missions Committee, you are invited to participate in a couple of mission opportunities that are available on a monthly basis:

Churches United for the Homeless—Every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, we gather in the clothing room downstairs to sort clothes for the residents at Churches United (1901 1st Ave N, Moorhead).

Dorothy Day Food Pantry—We sort food on the second Wednesday of the month from 3:00-4:30 p.m. The Pantry is located at located at 1308 Main Avenue, Moorhead.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Linda Bartholome (233-4980) or Barb Spilde (233-9195).

Sound Booth Servants
The Sound Booth Ministry Team provides technical help with the audio, video and lighting aspects of worship services and other events at LCGS. We see ourselves as the hands, ears and eyes of the risen Lord, helping others to see and hear his word. We are a cross section of the congregation currently ranging in age from 15 to 55. Training is provided for all who are interested – no experience is required or expected. If you have an interest in the sound booth we want YOU!
