Good Shepherd Women
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship
in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings,
engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the
church, the society, and the world. For information and committee reports.
Matters of Faith
Matters of Faith is a ministry for women focused on faith-based activities
that reach out to the community and build relationships centered around
Christ. Matters of Faith events support individuals growing in faith,
sharing faith stories, and seeking a network of friends grounded in Jesus
Christ. CLICK

Global Missions at Good Shepherd
The purpose of the Global Missions Committee at Good Shepherd
is to serve as the focal point for Synod and ELCA global mission activities.
Their job is to also inform and promote support for our missionaries within
the congregation and build congregational awareness of our mission fields,
their needs, and opportunities. Here is a link to Shedd and Kris Waskosky's
2006 Annual Report to our congregation.

Worship Band
The Worship Band at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd has been in existence
since 2001. We are comprised of teachers, students, an architect, a banker,
a real estate sales manager, a secretary/receptionist, a social worker,
a government worker, an insurance adjuster, and business owners.
What we all have in common is a strong sense of commitment to our church
and a passion for learning more about Our Lord Jesus Christ through our
music. We do this because we love it and we feel we have a gift to share
with others. This is our way of giving back to our congregation, to our
family, and particularly to our God for giving us our gift of music.
We have chosen to serve our Lord by sharing our talents and passion for
music with you.
Sound Booth Servants
The Sound Booth Ministry Team provides technical help with the audio,
video and lighting aspects of worship services and other events at LCGS.
We see ourselves as the hands, ears and eyes of the risen Lord, helping
others to see and hear his word. We are a cross section of the congregation
currently ranging in age from 15 to 55. Training is provided for all who
are interested – no experience is required or expected. If you have
an interest in the sound booth we want YOU!
