Here’s what’s coming…
Sunday, May 11th - Last day of Sunday OASIS
It is Mother’s Day, so invite your mother, your grandmother, etc.
to come and worship with us. We are planning a short program in the Community
Life Center at 10:10 a.m. The children will sing, and we will honor our
mothers, teachers & families. Please come!
During both services on Sunday morning, the children will come up for
a Children’s Sermon and then they will help hand out a gift to all
of the women present.
Sunday evening, May 11th - Our last OASIS is at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 14 - Old-fashioned grill out! At 5:15 p.m. the Children’s
Ministry Team is doing the grilling! Come and enjoy! $3 each or $10 a
family. Our last OASIS starts at 6:15 p.m. The children will put on a
program for their parents at 7:50 in the CLC. Stay and worship with us
at 7:15!
Wednesday May 21st - VBS training following the 6:30
outdoor worship service
Thursday, May 22nd - VBS training 7:00 (All staff is
asked to be at one of the Wednesday or Thursday meetings.)
June 9th-13th: Vacation Bible School

Our 2008 VBS theme is Group’s Power Lab
Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power!
We will learn that Jesus gives us the power to be thankful, the power
to help others, the power to be brave, the power to live forever, and
the power to tell others about God.
Watch the Shepherd’s Voice for dates to help decorate for our science
theme. We could use various colored rope lights, hula hoops, anything
“science-like”. Please give Janis a call at 233-4980 if you
have things to share. Please be sure to mark everything you want returned.
We also need financial help. Every year the costs for supplies and materials
go up. What better way to share your time, talents and money than to invest
in the spiritual development of one of “God’s Kids”?

July 20-23 Summer VBS - The Children’s Ministry
Team has decided on July 20-23 for our second VBS. We will meet in the
evenings. We will start with a light supper and run Sunday through Wednesday.
The 2-year-old Milestone went very well. We had over 45 people in the
Youth Room. It was VERY warm in there, but the 2-year-olds didn’t
mind. They loved their Toddler Bibles (they have handles on them so they
can carry them).
